Analisa Kinerja Reach Stacker dan Side Loader untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Box/Hm di PT. Mitra Dharma Laksana
Abstract
Container loading and unloading activities PT PBM Mitra Dharma Laksana uses reach stackers and side loaders to simplify the loading and unloading process of transporting and preparing containers. The company must manage the performance of reach stackers and side loaders to achieve the targeted box/hm productivity. This study aims to analyze the performance of reach stackers and side loaders in increasing container loading and unloading productivity. Data was collected by observation at the Meratus depot and analyzed descriptively. Based on data collected from January to December 2023, the analysis results show that the reach stacker has an average productivity of 22.58 boxes/hm, exceeding the target set (22 boxes/hm). The fact indicates that the side loader had a lower average productivity of 12.91 boxes/hm, which was short of the target, with periods of equipment breakdown from April to September, which affected overall productivity. The main factors influencing both machines’ performance were operational effectiveness, routine maintenance, and operator skills. Optimization of reach stacker management and side loaders of PT PBM Mitra Dharma Laksana can improve overall productivity, maintain machine performance stability, consistently meet operational targets, and fulfill operational targets consistently.
